A quoted lead time is useful only when its starting point and dependencies are clear. Electrical equipment schedules may depend on drawing approval, purchased components, test arrangements, and shipping instructions. Buyers should understand those conditions before comparing quotations or using a delivery promise as the basis for a project completion date.

Separate Price Exposure from Delivery Risk
